The Clinical Psychology Internship at Meta Counsel is designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of mental health diagnostics, psychometric assessments, and therapeutic interventions. This program focuses on building foundational skills in using diagnostic frameworks like DSM-5 and ICD-10 while offering hands-on experience with psychometric tools and intake procedures. Participants will gain practical exposure to working with clients, including those with disabilities, and will learn to design client-centered treatment plans.
Throughout the program, students will engage in supervised practice sessions that emphasize ethical standards, client documentation, and effective case formulation. A key highlight of the internship includes 6 industry visits to hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and mental health clinics, where students can observe real-world clinical settings. Additionally, 5 immersion training sessions provide opportunities to master tools like intake interviews and psychometric testing, ensuring participants leave with a solid foundation in clinical psychology.
By the end of the program, students will have the confidence to administer assessments, formulate diagnoses, and design treatment plans while understanding the importance of ethical and professional practices. This internship lays the groundwork for a rewarding career in clinical psychology.
